Patterned with Purpose

Patterned with Purpose

🌿 A Cozy Creative Solution

When I began sewing pieces for Brambles Handicraft, I struggled to find fabrics that felt like me. Everything in the stores leaned too modern or too loud—nowhere near the soft, rustic, and story-rich aesthetic I had in mind. So, I began designing my own.

I never planned to become a surface pattern designer. I just wanted fabric that felt like home. Spoonflower gave me a way to bring that dream to life—and now I get to share those patterns with others who are also drawn to cozy, meaningful design.

✨ From Brambles to Spoonflower

Each pattern begins with a mood—whether it’s a field of hydrangeas, a stack of gingham picnic linens, or the look of vintage tile in a tucked-away cottage kitchen. I create designs that can live on:

  • Cotton, canvas, and knit fabrics for makers and sewists
  • Peel-and-stick wallpapers for whimsical walls and accent spaces
  • Ready-made home goods like tablecloths, pillow covers, and tea towels

🌸 A Note on Process

Designing patterns isn’t just about making something pretty. It’s about creating atmosphere, telling a quiet story through shape and color. Every print is made with intention—from repeat planning to palette choice—and designed with the home in mind.
